If you're heading to Poland looking for great skiing and great value, then Kotelnica is the place to be. Nestled in the heart of the Tatra Mountains, this charming resort offers easy access to some of the region's best slopes, all just a short distance from the cosy alpine town of Zakopane.
Arguably the most modern ski resort in Poland, Kotelnica's fab chairlifts, modern T-bars, artificial snow cannons, and nearby gear hire facilities make it an excellent pick for families and groups eager to spend every moment out on the slopes. The ski area is perfect for beginners and intermediates, with plenty of cruisy slopes and two excellent ski schools. And for the snowboarders, there's even the epic Burton Snowpark, packed with boxes, rails, and ski jumps.
Beyond the slopes, there are numerous traditional bars and restaurants to explore, offering a taste of the local Góral culture. Alternatively, take a ski bus or a private minibus to experience the après-ski scene on Zakopane's Krupówki Street, with cosy alpine taverns serving steaming glasses of mulled wine.
