Activities
Hiking & Walking
Don’t worry if you’re not a human mountain goat - you don’t need to be to enjoy the scenery here. With over 2,000km of paths at your feet (and a cable car to skip the steep bits), Canazei is a hiker’s dream. Trails range from pine-scented forest strolls to balcony routes that call for a photo stop every five minutes. Hiking here means fresh air, big views and an even bigger grin on your face.
Viel dal Pan - Glide up by lift and enjoy the easy first section of this famous path, which translates as “Way of Bread” (apt for hiking in carb country). Great for families, it’s a gently rolling path with eye-popping views of Marmolada - the highest mountain in the Dolomites.
Val Contrin - Broad, breezy, and blooming with alpine charm. This easy-to-moderate option is ideal for picnic lovers and kids with an eye for marmots.
Full Viel dal Pan - A high-level traverse between passes, this is the full “Way of Bread” route. It’s got drama, distance, and Dolomite panoramas that go on forever. Pre-hike carb loading is encouraged.
